The History

In 1962 P.A.T.I. took over the blow film department from Montedison, where they developed the blow extrusion technology of plasticized PVC films.

This technology was originally aimed at industrial and packaging applications and, shortly after, to agricultural films.

During the ‘70s the company, for the first time, manufactured EVA copolymer films, combining advantages and exceeding limits of the existing PE and PVC films, which were commonly available for agriculture.

A new concept of film was originated and quickly grew in the agricultural world.

During the ‘80s P.A.T.I. has established itself as leader of EVA and plasticized PVC films and began to produce highly innovative films based on fluorinated polymers such as ETFE, FEP, PVDF, THV for a variety of new applications, including aerospace and automotive.

Further specialized films have been developed, based on thermoplastic polyurethanes, polyether-blockamides, and modified starch polymers, for a wide range of uses.
